First, your newsroom needs to understand the difference between WordPress Posts and Pages

In WordPress, there are two ways to put content on your website: as a Post (Article) or a Page (Section of your website).

When you write a news article entry, it’s called a Post (Article).

On the other hand, Pages are used for content that is not time-based. They are separate from your regular blog posts and are ideal for sharing timeless information about yourself or your website that will always be of interest.

With Pages, you can organise and manage the structure of your website’s content. Feel free to add as many Pages as you need and update them whenever necessary.

Once you create a Page, you can add it to your site’s navigation menu so that your visitors can easily find and access it.

Here are some examples – note that Radio, Print, and Tv content publishers will have unique pages that speak to their content type.

Generic Pages that one can expect from all websites:

  • About
  • Contact
  • Privacy Policy
  • Copyright
  • Disclosure
  • Legal Information
  • Reprint Permissions
  • Company Information (Ownership or More information that is not covered in the ABOUT US PAGE)

  • Log in to your WordPress Dashboard
  • Click Pages on the left toolbar. This will show the Pages screen with a list of all the pages you have on your site.
The Pages screen
  1. You can easily search for a Page based on the Page Title.
  2. You can get a list of all the Published Pages or Draft Pages.
  3. You can filter Pages based on dates.
  4. You can perform Bulk actions > Edit or Move to Trash by selecting multiple Pages from the list.
  5. You can sort the Pages list based on Title, Date, Author, etc by clicking the Header columns.

Now you can create a page #

Two ways to add a new page from the WordPress administration screen.
